Hi-Tech Blasting and Surface Prep Facility in Southampton
Our blast and coating facility in Littlehampton has long provided a space for critical research and development work into different types of asset cleaning and surface preparation, but we’ve recently expanded our capabilities by building a brand new facility in Southampton.
The new facility houses state-of-the-art blast equipment that can cater to any industrial protective coating or polymer corrosion repair requirement. The centre also facilitates key operational training, trialling and material cleaning testing.
After a full refit and many months of hard work, the facility now boasts a significant blast shop, primary spray shop and a multicoat spray shop for epoxy and specialist coatings.
Our spray shop is set up to deal with all kinds of Wet Spray Applications, from light coatings using small Conventional Spray Pressure Pot systems. To the Airless Spray System, which is a high-pressure pump for heavy duty Coatings such as Industrial Coatings and Tank Linings.
In addition, there are three blast areas (one large and two smaller) which enables us to change from one blast media to another quickly and cleanly, meaning we can work to any S.A. standard or achieve any profile on the items being blasted. We use the right abrasive for the application whether it be grit, garnet, steel shot, or glass bead.
Our new centre means we can continue and expand on our research and development while expanding on our service offering. We’re looking forward to bringing our customers an even more advanced and comprehensive service.
