We're delivering our first class in-house service offer from our multi-purpose Facilities
Since 1996, CryoGen have operated a blast and coatings facility in Littlehampton, on the south coast, that provides a space for critical research and development work into many types of asset cleaning and surface preparation. We have now expanded our capabilities in several facilities across the UK, to cater for any industrial protective coating or polymer corrosion repair requirement. The facility houses state-of-the-art blast equipment that enables our team to carry out in-house cleaning projects in a safe and controlled environment. The centre also facilitates key operational training, trialling and material cleaning testing.
We are members of the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC), and approved 'TrainthePainter' Training Centre
As a complete solutions provider, CryoGen also offers a comprehensive in-house capability from any of its new blast and coatings centres. These facilities are able to offer an expanded offering for our customers and house a broader range of state-of-the-art equipment. After a full refit and many months of hard work, the facilities now allow CryoGen to offer blast shops, primary spray shops and a multicoat spray shops for epoxy and specialist coatings.
The Spray Shops
Our spray shops are set up to deal with all kinds of Wet Spray Applications, from light coatings using small Conventional Spray Pressure Pot systems. To the Airless Spray System, which is a high-pressure pump for heavy duty Coatings such as Industrial Coatings and Tank Linings. We have experience in applying high performance coatings such as :
- Blast holding primers
- Wieldable primers
- Polyester coatings
- Epoxy and polyurethane Paint systems
We carry out work to all specifications and use a full range of B.S and Ral colours.
Blasting & Abasives
As well as having a large blast area capability, our new facilities have been upgraded to provide smaller blast areas too. This enables us to change from one blast media to another quickly and cleanly, which means we can work to any S.A. standard or achieve any profile on the items being blasted. We use the right abrasive for the application whether it be grit, garnet, steel shot, or glass bead. Our shot blast shop features:
- Fully lined in welded steel plate
- Fitted with a sunken floor hopper and vac recovery reclaim unit
- Uses steel shot as the blast Media to keep media/waste disposal costs down
- A working area of 16 meters long and 6 meters wide.
